Church Reopening Guidelines and Protocols

As stated earlier, it is important over these next few months that we follow, as much as possible, certain guidelines and protocols as we reopen for the safety and well-being of everyone.

Guidelines & Protocols

1.    We strongly encourage you to use your own judgment and discretion about attending the services over the next few months. If you are considered “high-risk” for COVID-19, are a care-giver of high-risk individuals, or if you are experiencing any potential symptoms (i.e., cough, fever, etc.) or believe you have been exposed to the virus, it is best for you to stay home during this time and join our services on Facebook Live.

2.    We will follow the recommended social-distancing and other safety protocols as much as possible. We understand that strict adherence to these protocols may be difficult at times while we are together (especially social distancing), but we want to adhere to them as much as possible.

·         Please remain at least six feet away from others (non family members) at all times. Distancing should be kept in all directions – front, back, left and right.

o   When seated in the sanctuary, try to have one empty row of pews in front of you and behind you.

·         Please cover your nose and mouth if you cough or sneeze;

·         At the end of the services, please exit the sanctuary in such a way to avoid crowding or congregating at the exit.

o   We also encourage you to leave the building as soon as possible and refrain from fellowshipping in the building at the end of the services. (Please do not congregate outside in front of the church entrance.)

·         Wearing a mask and/or gloves is not required but we encourage you to use them if you are more comfortable doing so. Please bring your own mask, gloves and hand sanitizer for your own use. Hand sanitizer will be available in the building and we will also try to have a few masks and gloves available if you do not have your own.

·         Restroom facilities will be open and available, but please avoid the use of the restrooms if at all possible. If you use the restroom facilities, please wash your hands with hot water and the soap provided in the restrooms.

·         Please refrain from physical contact with others, including shaking hands, high-fives, hugging, etc.

3.    We will not be providing a physical church bulletin during this time to limit hand-to-hand exposure.

4.    To limit hand-to-hand exposure, we also will not have our regular time in our morning service to receive tithes and offerings. The offering plates will be set in the back of the sanctuary in which you can place your tithe envelope or check as you enter or exit the sanctuary. Also, you can continue to mail your tithes and offerings to the church.

We praise the Lord for the technology that has allowed us to continue worshipping together remotely during this time. However, I know we all are very anxious to be together again in our building and are looking forward to it. Please be in prayer about this. Also, please let me or one of your elders or deacons know if you have any questions.
