Hancock Reformed Baptist Church

Discipleship Saturdays
Meeting every other Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon
beginning September 24, 2022
Jesus Christ calls us to make disciples. This is His “Great Commission” to the church. He said in Matthew 28:18-19, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.” Jesus’ authoritative mandate to the church of all ages is not just to evangelize but to make disciples who worship God in spirit and truth and follow Jesus passionately.
Disciples are Christians who have wholeheartedly committed to “deny themselves and take up their cross” and follow Jesus Christ (Matt. 16:24, Mark 8:34; 10:21; Luke 9:23). Disciples are committed to learning and following the thinking and conduct of their Master. Discipleship is a daily and lifelong pursuit of learning the mind of Christ and following the will of Christ, submitting ourselves in full obedience to His Lordship. Christians are “to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.” (Eph. 4:15)
We invite you to join us on “Discipleship Saturdays” as we strive together, by God’s grace, to “attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” (Eph. 4:13)
